Avid Fast Track C600 no sound

Hi everybody, I have an Avid Fast Track C600 external sound card. It works fine with Windows in diferent machines. But I´m upgrading my home studio to Mac. A friend send me (I live in Argentina) a MacBook 6.1 late 2009 with an Intel dual core an 8 Gb of RAM

The people from Avid, send me to this page http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/troubleshooting/No-audio-from-USB-Interface-w ith-Mac-OS-X-Mavericks

and give me no answers. Seems like my machine is not tested/qualified for their drivers. What I have to do, sell my sound card and buy a new one?

For me a dual core pentium with 8 Mb of RAM running the latest OS from Apple and all the new software is more than enough. I even buy 2 external video cards, so I can use it in a multi monitor enviroment.

Please somebody can tell me what to do?

Hola Daniel, te cuento mi caso a ver si te sirve de ayuda. Tengo una interface Fast Track de M-Audio desde 2009 cuando me pasé al mac desde windows. Nunca tuve ningún problema con la tarjeta al actualizar el OS X desde Snow Leopard hasta este año en que actualicé a El Capitan y la interface desapareció de las herramientas del sistema/sonido. Simplemente no la reconocía. Estuve indagando en internet hasta que encontré la solución:

- Quita la conexion USB de la tarjeta

- Borra TODOS los archivos de tu mac pertenecientes a m-audio (yo utilicé el software "Easy Find" en vez de Spotlight y tuve que borrar los archivo uno a uno

- Reinicia el mac

- Reconecta la tarjeta y el solo aparecerá en las herramientas del sistema/sonido, no necesita drivers en absoluto

Veo que tu mac es OS X 10.7 debería funcionar mejor que con 10.11
